From his first storefront selling rocks at age six, to a six-year apprenticeship with three master model makers producing jewelry for famous artists’ estates such as Erté and Lalique; David has always enjoyed creating works of art. He joined Charles Koll in July of 1992 as a goldsmith, and by November of 2000 he became a partner in the Fashion Valley store location. Renowned for his beautiful and intricate hand engraved platinum jewelry reminiscent of the Edwardian era, David regards his pieces as tiny sculptures. “People come to me at the happiest times in their lives. I make clients wearable art they love, and I get paid for it!” A Classical/Jazz musician, the music world’s loss is indeed the jewelry world’s gain.
