Khai Le
Platinumsmith/Designer
Originally from Vietnam,
Khai began his jewelry career as an apprentice jeweler
in 1989. His first homemade jewelers torch, powered
by a foot pump designed from a used 105mm. Howitzer
shell still sits in the workshop. Mostly self-taught,
he enjoys mastering new techniques and building his
own tools. Khai joined Charles Koll in 1994. The American
Gem Trade Association (A.G.T.A.) honored him in 2003
with three awards: Spectrum award Men’s Division,
Platinum honors, and Manufacturing honors for a platinum
and Mozambique Garnet men’s ring. “The design
is only as good as the execution.” This is the
motto Khai uses to master his work. |
